• Mistina Loontjer

    FOUNDER AND COORDINATOR

    Mistina is from Nebraska in the United States. She has a BA in Elementary Education and English as a New Language and a MS in International Education and Post Conflict Education. She has 20 years experience teaching Upper Elementary homeroom classes, and ESL in Math and Science. She has taught in the US, Timor-Leste, Peru, Azerbaijan, and Albania and is thrilled to now be facilitating further educational and community building opportunities at Bridges. At Bridges, Mistina shares her passion for teaching and learning by organizing courses and events, teaching English Conversation groups, STEM classes, Math support, Cooking classes for kids and more!

    Born and raised in Russia, Zula finished the University of Linguistics where she studied English and German. She then worked for a corporation, then moved to Germany for some time, then again returned to a corporate life. Having started as a Kid Counselor, she moved up to a Kid Club Leader. Her experience in both spending time with kids and managing a team turned her into a multifaceted woman. Growing up she attended art classes and became passionate to share creative activity. In 2020 Zula finished an art course from a Russian artist based in Paris. Her main enthusiasm in art is to build on abstract art: paper, pencils, paint compositions. At Bridges, Zula teaches Arts and Crafts Classes and Russian language classes.
